The 2022 FIDE Candidates Tournament is an 8-player double round-robin that will decide Magnus Carlsen’s challenger for the 2023 World Championship match, or, if Magnus decides not to play the match, the two players who will battle it out for the title. There is also a €48,000 top prize at stake. The venue is the Palacio de Santoña, Madrid, from June 17th to July 4th. If players tie for 1st place there will be a playoff on July 5th. No draw offers are allowed before Black’s 40th move.
The players get 2 hours for 40 moves, then 1 hour for the next 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment only from move 61. A playoff will feature two 15+10 rapid games followed, if needed, by two 3+2 blitz games. If still tied the players will keep playing single blitz games until one of them wins. If more than two players tie for 1st there will be a mini round-robin. Official website: worldchampionshipcycle.fide.com

Hikaru played noob too much.
he should've played on and forced Radjabov to checkmate him. I put the position he resigned on in stockfish and with perfect play by black white still has to work very hard to seal the deal.
The agadmatorisms in this video are fire 😀
Who lost against Berlin defense? Well hikaru did!
HELLO🗣️ everyone 😁
Ego hurts.
Complacency kills
To waste a move but save the game.
Nakamura lost against himself….
loving the candidates coverage – good to watch Nakamura's analysis of his game too.
how does the scoring work ? winning with white = ? losing with white = ? drawing with white = ? and for black ?
Hope Radjabov beats Ian also, it will help his confidence and will get well deserved respect
With this loose Hikaru is out of this tournament,it was his last chance,Nepo has now 2p différence.
whoever lost a game playing the berlin defense?
Too ambitious. He literally cared, and then lost.
Radjabov beat Nakamura in style
Props to Radjabov for crushing the Berlin defense! I'm happy for him that he finally got his first win of the candidates.
nice reference to vegeta. 🙂
naka act like a child, so happy as he win and so sad as he lose.
Great!
Whoever lost playing the Berlin Defence?
Hikaru against Nepo
I personally don’t believe Hikaru will ever learn. He’s got such a passive aggressive pride
Morphy also played that …d5 move!
HN threw that away with a move that was unnecessary
he resigned 😑
The title of the video is spot on.
01:47 "It's a fairly rare move but it has been played by everyone" – Antonio, 2022
Congrats Radjabov !
1:19 "as i always say, whoever lost a game playing the Berlin defense"
…hikaru apparently 😅😂
"Pride comes before the fall"
He Still doesnt like Hikaru…. Well, coming back after an year to see the candidates tournament
If you would start selling t shirts with just b4 on them, I would totally buy one
Like a true saiyan,is that a dragonball reference right there?
7:33…… it was with this reference that I subscribed
You remind me THE SYEEN PRINCE VEGGETA. 🔥
My uncle met a guy called Hikaru on Grindr, I'd like to believe that it was Hikaru Nakamura
I often wonder just how much better Nakamura would be if he was just a little bit less arrogant.
Disappointed by hikarus performance. I was really hoping he'd be playing stronger chess than this
Surprised you (and Hikaru) dismissed the idea of regaining the pawn immediately via the Bxf2+ idea.
I get that it's a "beautiful bishop" in comparison to the Knight … but that wasn't the key comparison. The key comparison was with the (even more beautiful) passed a pawn.
Radjabov and Mamedyarov are the best. Good luck to Radjabov. Sorry agadmator that Radjabov made you unhappy :))) these days this will repeat a couple of times.
If you play bullet you're never afraid to undo you're last move. I do and that move was the 1st one I thought of. Bullet forces you to leave your ego out of the game.
Black is not holding on with the Berlin this tournament…!
Chess is brutal, that is why it's full of pride. In other sports, you loose, and you practice more to get stronger and faster, gain more muscle. In chess you loose, and there is no exercise to grow your brain. There is nothing you can do.
Do you intend to show some Stockfish 15 VS Alphazero new games?!
All these guys got pride don't fool yourselves.
Good video, but surprised agadmator spent no time explaining Qe2. I never thought of that move, and before I saw it I thought Hikaru was fine. It was such a critical moment to make a good defensive move to stop Hikaru's king side attack, and IMO that's the winning move.
Missed opportunity when Castle F3 and horse on H5. Play castle to h3 and then horse g3, king in check, take Radjabov castle on e2
great videos of encouragement and hope God bless

"Is pride worth dying for?"
