Me after watching the queens gambit:
Thank You for the info!
Can anyone suggest some best books & games app for learning chess? I would happy of your kind suggestions 😊😊
I’ve started playing chess when I was seven but I haven’t played in a while. I also have this crush on a guy and I found out that he plays chess. This inspired me to learn a bit more so maybe one day we could play a game together 🙂
He was like “right?! (You got this)” and I’m like hahah no
13:24 i did that aggainst my dad when i was 7 year old, good times
"Levy, you're already confusing me. I don't feel safe." HAHAHA lol💀
13:14 i don't understand how this works, surely the pawn at h2 could move to h4 and take the queen?
Started today and I'm hooked… I never thought I would fall in love with chess.. And man it is fascinating.
Great stuff! I’ve been playing on a coaching app for a few weeks and this video helped add The next layer of understanding. There is so much info in here, but it down to something that I can understand. Thanks for the effort in putting this together!
Think u for teaching us how to play yall game…Black man & check mate is coming soon my guy!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust that
I like watching you explain.
My dad taught me to play chess when I was a young boy 3rd/4th grade, after about the 4th time I beat him, and he didn't want to play anymore, same with playing pool.
Thank you so much now I can play chees
I've been watching your videos in an attempt to become a better player. My kids love chess (7 and 9), and I've been wanting to improve to teach them. How do you go about identifying what a person might be trying to accomplish mid to late game? Certain games I study it is very apparent to me and others it's not.
Good. Now I can lose more accurately
I appreciate you
Excellent beginners video. I learned something. I learned how damn stupid I am. Thank you. I do believe this was the first time have heard, "welcome to the 64 squares".
Waiting for the chess v2.3
Thank you so much for teaching me how to play chess Mr GothamChess.
Started listening to tate, now I'm here
I'm so determined to win this game at least once in my life
Gotham is in New Jersey
Wow, actually learnt so much from this
As a person who's very casual – I feel like knights, vs other casuals, are almost as scary in the B and G areas as the center because they threaten bishops/rooks/pawns that aren't properly defended/covered. Does that evaporate once you've played with focus for more than a few games?
Thanks from a real beginner
ty bro i understand now
wait, pieces can go backwards??
Really learned a lot. You make it seem so easy. Thanks. Enjoyed the way you teach!
So helpful, thank you!
Hi, just starting to learn how to play and am confused about 12:00 I’m not sure why this ends as a stalemate, can someone explain further?
It’s so nice to be able to refresh our brains on the basics of playing chess every so often
In primary school I always wanted to join a group of boys who played chess and to learn. I thought it looked intriguing. They said no "since I was a girl" and now here I am in high school trying to learn some chess for the sake of learning chess.
13:08 Looool that just happened to me and I didn't understand what just happened
Why am i so HORRIBLE at chess!?!?!? i used to be like 800, but now i am 300 🙁
Just got a new subscriber, let's see how it goes 😇
bro im literally sitting here laughing cuz that 4 move mate i have seen before. i was a 23 year old inmate at a county jail and my best friend i made in my 24 man pod was this tatted up gang banger who was in on his 5th gun charge as a 20 year old (i wish i were making this up). my boy hit me with that stupid fuckin move like 3 times in a row and i didnt know what to do about it. only chess i played was against my old man who didnt teach me shit he just thrashed me relentlessly. his only experience was playing in newport news jail.
tldr: my podmate in jail used the 4 move checkmate vs me in jail multiple times
It's so helpful that you explain it slowly
Thank you master.
Seeing the lateral checkmate with 2 queens brought back memories of when I did that specific move as one of the only ways I ever checkmated people.
I’m scared. 😱😰
Bayet. D q ka focus. Gwapo ag maestro HAHAHHA
You make it hard to pay attention to what you’re saying…🤤🤤😍🥰

Can you do a Queens Gambit tutorial
I won my First local chess championship using the Scholar's Mate. I was taught Queen to F3 version and would put bishop out first. Halfway through the tournament i switched to H5 because a few people would block with knight and H5 gives a free pawn and rook almost every game people are quick to push with pawns. I made my own variation with the Knight and queen because people block with knight more often when bishop comes out. Basically move knight to H3 Queen to F3 Knight to G5 they try to push away with pawn and queen mates on F7 or they blocked with pawn swing queen to B3 or have bishop their already. I use to over commit to this every game I even won the championship game with just a rook, He traded queens with me because I was so dominate with Queen early game. Now im older and this barely works or im just washed up i dunno. Use to feel like i could be a Grandmaster now i feel like i get caught in my own traps.
