Amidst the cheating controversy that, at the time of publishing, is still unfolding in the chess world between Hans Niemann, Magnus Carlsen and chess.com, I thought I’d try and see if “that” cheat device is actually possible. How easy is it to make? Can it actually be used to defeat high level players? Can I, a programming and electronics n00b make one? Let’s find out.
